Request Clinicians"I've traveled with three agencies over seven years, and Pinnacle is in a different league. My recruiter, Marcus, responds to texts at 10 PM when I'm stressed about a housing issue. That kind of support is genuinely rare in this industry."
"We had a critical shortage in our ER over a holiday weekend. Pinnacle had two qualified RNs credentialed and on the floor within 60 hours. The clinicians were excellent and fit our culture perfectly. We've been a dedicated partner ever since."
"As a travel PT, I was nervous about making the switch from permanent. My recruiter walked me through every detail โ licensure, housing, pay breakdown. Fourteen months and five states later, it's the best career decision I've ever made."
Travel nursing involves taking temporary clinical assignments at hospitals and healthcare facilities that need short-term staffing support. Most assignments run 13 weeks (roughly 3 months), though shorter 4โ8 week contracts and longer 26-week extensions are also common. You choose the location, specialty, and timeline that suits your life โ giving you flexibility that a permanent position can't match.
A travel nursing pay package typically consists of a taxable hourly base rate plus tax-free stipends for housing and meals & incidentals (M&IE). The stipend amounts are set by the IRS based on your assignment location. On top of this, Pinnacle offers comprehensive health benefits from day one, 401(k) with employer matching, referral bonuses up to $2,000, and reimbursement for license and CEU costs.
Many clinicians are placed and starting their first assignment within 2โ4 weeks of their initial application. The timeline depends on your specialty, preferred locations, and how quickly credentialing documentation is submitted. Your recruiter will set a realistic timeline with you from day one and keep you updated at every stage โ no surprises.
If your home state participates in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), your multistate license covers you in all 40+ compact states โ making it easy to travel broadly. For non-compact states, you'll need a state-specific license. Your recruiter will guide you through which states require additional licensing and help coordinate the application process. License fees are fully reimbursable through Pinnacle.
Your dedicated recruiter remains your primary point of contact throughout your assignment โ not just during onboarding. We also provide a 24/7 clinical support line for urgent issues, a full-service housing team to assist with furnished accommodations, and a compliance team that handles any credentialing updates or extensions. You're never on your own once you're on the road.
Whether you're a clinician looking for your next adventure or a facility with an urgent staffing need โ we're here and ready to help.
